MAF Border Standards Christmas Event 2009!!
... at the Wellington Zoo ...

What a splendid idea - Vicky and Megan organised a ZOO-DO!! All on board bus no. 10 and off we went:

Marguerite wants to see some animals ... (after years of driving a desk!)

After an uneventful bus journey we arrived @ the Zoo

EVERYBODY works HARD!!


Some even smile while working hard. Awesome attitude, Conrad!!


No bag is too big ... WE get things done.


Even the animals are very impressed and break down -
watching the supreme Border Team at work!


Lunch???


The chimps. These guys are very blasé, of course.
But: watching humans every day IS boring. We understand.


The litte Meercat is more interested in the MAF guys - why????

As a bonus for the outstanding work we did we got a tour of the new Animal Hospital!

Simon shows us the brand new facility - visitors can actually watch the vets at work.


The containment areas are VERY secure so grumpy animals can't eat the vets.

Finally - all the hard work paid off - we gathered for lunch, fun and games :-)

A very nice venue - with affordable drinks :-)


On my way out I discovered the Marmoset area. Mega-cute little buggers!!!
